Celebrating Progress and Building Momentum for 2025

As we kick off 2025, I’m thrilled to share the Offsite Alliance 2024 Impact Report with you. It’s hard to put into words just how much we’ve achieved together over the past year. This report is more than just a reflection—it’s a celebration of the incredible progress we’ve made as a community and a reminder of the exciting opportunities ahead.
2024 wasn’t without its challenges, but it was a year that proved just how powerful we can be when we come together with a shared purpose. From advocating for Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) at the highest levels of government to delivering hands-on training and guidance that equips our sector for the future, the Offsite Alliance has been at the forefront of driving positive change. And none of it would have been possible without the dedication, ideas, and hard work of our members and partners.
Here’s a little preview of what you’ll find in the report:
Advocating for the Industry
One of our proudest achievements in 2024 was amplifying your voices where they matter most. We worked closely with Homes England, MHCLG, and other key stakeholders to push forward the adoption of MMC, ensuring that the needs of the sector were heard loud and clear. From supporting Paul Read’s #WhatWentRight campaign to influencing the direction of inquiries and consultations, we’ve been relentless in making sure the benefits of offsite construction are recognized and celebrated.
Building Skills and Capacity
The skills shortage has been a long-standing challenge for our industry, but we’re determined to tackle it head-on. In 2024, we trained 32 educators in further education colleges, empowering them to teach the next generation of construction professionals. We also ran six industry bootcamps, helping people within the sector to develop practical, future-ready skills. And let’s not forget the incredible foresighting work we’ve done to identify the skills we’ll need in the years to come.
Sharing Knowledge
We’ve always believed that knowledge is power, and 2024 was a year of turning that belief into action. The first round of consultation on the OA Glossary will be launched next week, paving the way for a standardised language in offsite construction. We are also prepared to release the Gas Membranes Technical Guidance, an invaluable resource for the sector. We’ve also laid the groundwork for a future Knowledge Transfer Hub, with partnerships ready to take shape.
These are just a few highlights, and there’s so much more to uncover in the report. I encourage you to take a look and see the incredible breadth of work we’ve done together.
The Impact Report isn’t just about looking back—it’s about looking forward. We’ve got big plans for 2025, from launching the InsightHub as a safe space for knowledge sharing to forming a Skills Alliance that will unite industry leaders and educators in shaping the future of construction training. We’re also forming a Taskforce in partnership with Housing Festival and Building Better, bringing together housing associations, local authorities, and the supply side of the industry. This coalition will create a powerful network to share knowledge, foster connections, and deliver high-quality, sustainable homes at pace. And, of course, we’ll be expanding our events programme to bring even more value to our members.
A Personal Thank You
To our members, partners, and supporters, thank you. Thank you for your ideas, your time, your trust, and your commitment to making our industry better. You are the reason the Offsite Alliance exists, and everything we achieve is because of you.
If you’re not yet a member, now is the perfect time to join us. The Impact Report is a testament to the power of this community, and we’d love for you to be part of it as we continue to grow and make a difference in 2025.
Let’s Keep Building Together
The future of offsite construction is bright, but there’s still work to be done. Let’s keep the momentum going, keep pushing boundaries, and keep building the kind of industry we can all be proud of.
You can download the Impact Report here, and as always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Let’s make 2025 our best year yet!
