A Real-Life “Rising Star”
Gaynor Tennant is the offsite sectors real-life “rising star”. She left her role as a secondary school teacher and joined Modularize in 2016 with no previous construction experience. Within 2 years at Modularize, Gaynor had progressed to Chief Business Development Officer and led strategically on the board of directors. Gaynor is now a familiar face within the sector and built up and extensive range of contacts and reputation for offsite construction project delivery and success.
The Offsite Alliance Enabling Offsite
In 2019, borne our of frustration that the construction sector remains slow to respond and tackle the acute chronic housing shortfall coupled with the lack of support and understanding of manufactured construction, she set up the Offsite Alliance (OA).
The Offsite Alliance now have 180 members and Gaynor and her team continue to raise increase awareness and confidence of offsite. The Offsite Alliance currently has 8 dedicated workstreams all delivering sector change and enabling offsite construction, with this years [2022] focus on Procurement, People and Products. The Offsite Alliance are working alongside organisations to change a very broken route to procurement and levelling the playing field for SME’s.

Gaynor works tirelessly to drive a new era of development, growth and productivity the sector so desperately needs and we are delighted she has been shortlisted for the Rising Star category at the 2022 CN Awards. The industry are finally recognising all the great work the Offsite Alliance is doing to deliver high quality precision engineered homes for the future – well done Gaynor!
