M-AR lays foundations for success with new senior leadership team

Offsite specialist contractor M-AR has strengthened its core leadership team with a trio of new department heads appointed to co-ordinate both the offsite manufacture and on-site construction elements of projects for greater efficiency.

In the last six months, Ryan Guest, Steve Tate and Keith Hill have been appointed as head of commercial, head of manufacturing, and head of construction respectively. Together they also form part of M-AR’s newly created Senior Leadership Team where they’ll work alongside John Leitch (Preconstruction), Dan Lowther (Procurement), Robert Cousins (Design) and Charlotte Smith (Finance) to engage in open multi-departmental conversations intended to drive innovation and foster a mindset of collaboration and a ‘one team’ culture.

In his role as head of commercial, Ryan Guest’s main focus is on leading M-AR’s commercial activities within the business and providing strategic commercial guidance. He brings a wealth of knowledge, skills, and expertise in the construction sector and has experience of leading large commercial departments within PLC and SME environments.

M-AR’s new head of manufacturing, Steve Tate, also has extensive experience working in a variety of different roles within construction, ranging from contracts management to project director, which gives him a full understanding of the entire process of delivering a project from start to finish. His remit is keeping M-AR’s factory working efficiently and making sure completed modules are consistently delivered to schedule – a vital role in supporting the business as it expands.

As M-AR has grown so too has the scale and scope of its operations and the projects it is increasingly undertaking. Keith Hill, who was appointed to the role of head of construction in the summer, will act as a central point of contact to manage the on-site construction processes across multiple sites to make sure that all deadlines are hit in a timely and safe manner. Keith’s effective management of the construction teams contributed to 2022 being one of M-AR’s busiest and most successful years to date and as such he will play a key part in M-AR’s strategic growth plan for the future too.

M-AR prides itself on being a people-centric business that people want to work with and for – its continual investment in supporting and training current staff as well as recruiting talented team members is testament to this in action.
