Since the very beginning, we’ve had one clear mission—to bring people together, share knowledge, and drive the construction sector forward. That’s why we set up our workstreams: to create a space where industry experts, forward-thinkers, and problem-solvers could come together to tackle the big issues head-on.
I’ve always said—we can’t just sit back and wait for policy to dictate change. If we want to see progress, we need to drive it ourselves, not just as individuals but within every organisation, business, and project we touch. That’s exactly what our workstreams have been doing—putting action before words and turning shared insights into real-world solutions.

Over the past couple of years, our members have relentlessly pushed these workstreams forward, tackling challenges around skills, digital transformation, and sustainability. And let me tell you—it hasn’t been easy.
With 24 ambitious projects on the table, we’ve seen an unbelievable level of dedication from our members. They’ve put in countless hours, driven vital conversations, and worked together to shape solutions that will make a tangible impact. Even Hugo, the OA dog, has been a dedicated attendee at our meetings—offering moral support, keeping spirits high, and making sure no important discussions happened without a wagging tail in the room!
Now, as we move into the delivery phase, we’ve refined our focus. Some projects will be delivered in the next couple of months, while others have been pushed back to later in the year to ensure they get the attention and resources they need. In some cases, we’ve changed the format to make them more accessible to the people who will benefit most—like the Digital Insight Hub, which will provide tailored access to the latest advancements in digital construction.
But one thing is clear—we’re making this happen. And we want you to be part of it.
From Ideas to Action: The Journey So Far
Throughout 2023 and early 2024, our workstreams have covered key areas that shape the future of construction:
Skills & Competency Development – Defining the workforce of tomorrow, ensuring we have the right training, skills, and accreditation to meet industry needs.
Productivity & Process Improvement – Streamlining operations, identifying inefficiencies, and setting out a clear roadmap to improve business outcomes across the sector.
Digital Enablement & Data Strategy – Harnessing the power of technology to improve decision-making, collaboration, and transparency in offsite and traditional construction.
Carbon & Sustainability – Creating actionable strategies for lower-carbon, more sustainable building methods that align with industry and government targets.
Through workshops, roundtables, and working groups, our members have worked with laser focus to create real, workable solutions in each of these areas. Now, we’re asking for the right people to step in and help drive them home.
